PoCA Challenge Champion - Luke Dick
Congratulations to our latest PoCA Challenge Champion, Luke Dick!: In his second (of two!) Poker for Charity Challenge events, Luke Dick has again proven his tournament prowess, bringing his deep stack skills from his prior Team WAPL experiences to the table to take out the latest PoCA Challenge, including the 1st places prize of the $4000 Team WAPL package and over $2200 cash!
Following up from a great 2nd place performance in the inaugural PoCA Challenge where he was beaten heads up by Rob Browne, Luke was determined to do one better this time around!
Well done Luke, it'll be great to have you joining Team WAPL on another awesome poker trip soon!
With a larger (59) participants in the most recent PoCA Challenge, we saw a bigger prize pool, a better structure, and even more fun this time around!
We were lucky enough to be graced by TV celebrities Andrew and Emma, Telethon representatives from My Kitchen Rules! It was a true pleasure to meet them both, and we hope to see them again soon!
Shortly after the event, we received a lovely note from the couple about the event that we wanted to share with our members -
"Dear Jason and Frank, Andrew and I just wanted to thank you for yesterday.
We had a great time, and I was really impressed with how well organised the whole event was.
I was also surprised by how nice all our fellow poker players were - they were very kind and were also generous with helping me out with the rules and hints and tips (including how to look at my cards without showing everyone else!).
I hope the day was a success for you too.
Thank you again for letting us be involved.
Kind regards Emma and Andrew"
Thank you both for your support of this great event, and for your time spent supporting Telethon. We were happy to help you learn more about this great game, and it was awesome having you present!
