About WAPL
Western Australian Poker League Pty. Ltd. operates poker events in pubs, clubs, and other venues around Western Australia.
Our events are for people who are looking for a fun, friendly and professional environment in which to play poker. We welcome all calibre of player, from novice to professional, and strive to help our members achieve their poker dreams. As a member, you can play in our Free League tournaments for no cost or our Pro League tournaments, which are cash buy-in events offering great prizes.
We run regular Special Events, such as King of the Hill and Team events. Our Championship Events also give members the chance to win their place on Team WAPL to fly to various resort destinations, playing poker in some of the best poker events in the world!
At the end of our season are the WAPL Grand Finals for Pro and Free League qualifiers. These large events make for an exciting finale to the season, whether you're playing for tens of thousands of dollars in Pro League prize money or the respect of your Free League friends!
Not least of all, the events we operate raise funds for various not for profit Clubs or Charities, such as Poker for Charity Association (PoCA) (www.pokerforcharity.com.au) and local WA sporting clubs, so proceeds from gaming goes back to the WA community.
