WAPL Season Grand Finals
WA Poker League Season Grand Finals (For Pro and Free Leagues) are awesome events, culminating in the best of the best in both leagues playing off to prove who is WAPL's Grand Champion for each League for that Season!
With WAPL's Pro League paying out over $2,000,000 since we started in May 2006, Pro League Players compete for not only the cash and Championship Event prizes at our nightly events, they also play to qualify for the Pro League Grand Final. Those playing in the Grand Final have a chance to reach the pinnacle of WA Poker by becoming a WAPL Grand Champion. The overall Season Top 10 win their Grand Final buy-in for free with the Top 5 also winning great cash prizes for doing so well during the season!
Pro Rank | Cash Prize
1st | $3000
2nd | $2000
3rd | $1000
4th | $600
5th | $400
In addition to the overall league rankings, the top player for each venue at the end of the season will also gain automatic qualification into the Champion of Champions Tournament held at the end of the season, which has its own huge prize pool! So now there's even more reason to reach that top spot! Only Pro League venues running for over 5 weeks during a season will be eligible for the winning qualification, and if a player has already gained qualification through another venue, it does not automatically qualify the 2nd placed player for the prize.
Get in there, get qualified, and be in with a chance to take out WA's BIGGEST and BEST Poker Tournament with the Western Australian Poker League!

Pro League Grand Final
There is a minimum 5 Pro Game requirement to qualify for the Grand Final unless you buy-in as a non-qualifier for $1500
- Top 200 qualifiers. If seats are not filled, they will be awarded to the reserve pro league players at the event. Reserves must have played 10 Pro games during the season to participate. Non reserves must buy-in for $1500.
- The qualification buy-in is based on a tiered ranking system.
1st to 10th = Free Entry!
11th to 50th = $50
51st to 100th = $100
101st to 150th = $150
151st to 200th = $200
>200 but played 10+ Pro Games = $200
Non-Qualifier = $1500
- $10 goes to the club/charity we are operating the event with, and the rest is pooled to the Grand Final Prize Pool! This ensures not only a great prize pool, but also a significant bonus to those higher ranked players for the season, as they can win a big discount off their buy-in!
Up to the top 20 places paid out! (Top 10% of the players on the day!)
Free League Grand Final
- Top 200 qualifiers (160 seats, filled on a first come first entered basis. If they're not filled, they will be awarded to the next ranking reserve free league players at the event, so come down even if you don't qualify for a chance to play if you've played 10 Free League events this season!)
- Top 40 Free League players receive a FREE 1500 rebuy if they get knocked out before the 1st break!
- No buy-in
- Free League Championship Trophy Prize, nothing of monetary value, but you're playing for the fun and the fame of becoming the Free League Champ!
There will also be tables running for players who get out of the Grand Finals who wish to keep playing poker during the event!
Important note on Reserves - Players who have played 10 or more games in one or the other Leagues this season, yet have not qualified for a seat, are on the Reserves List. They can take the place of non-attending Qualifiers, in order of Ranking.
Please remember, as a qualifier there is no need to have played 10 games, IF you are qualified (qualified players must have played 5 games however). If you are outside the top 200 qualification, as a reserve you must have played 10 games. Reserve players are NOT guaranteed seats in the Finals, but will take the seats of qualifiers who don't show up on the day up to a total of 200 players for Pro and 160 players for Free.
