WAPL Season Layout
The Western Australian Poker League has two easy to understand Seasons, Free League and Pro League.
They are as follows -
FREE LEAGUE
- Each Free League Season is 15 weeks, ending with the Free League Grand Final, on the same day as the Pro League Grand Final.
- Players gain points towards their overall Free League Season score depending on their finishing ranking in each Tournament they enter during the season. The idea is to try to top the ladder and prove yourself to be the WAPL Free League Season Winner by the end of the 15 week season!
- The winner in each tournament will take home a WAPL Free League Tournament Winner's Trophy!
- The overall WAPL Free League Season Winner (the player who tops the Free League Ladder at the end of the 15 weeks) will be heralded as such, and will be awarded the WAPL Free League Season Winner's Trophy!
PRO LEAGUE
- Each Pro League Season goes for 15 weeks, including two big Rake Free Tournaments plus our huge WAPL Pro League Grand Final at the end of the Season!
- Players gain points towards their overall Pro League Season score depending on their finishing rank in each tournament they enter during the season. The higher you rank, the more benefit to you! Top 5 win cash prizes and the Grand Final buy-in is discounted depending on your end of season rank!
- Players who are in the Top 10 for each Venue at the end of the 5th or the 10th week qualify for the Rake Free Tournament held the following week, which is a great value $50 buy-in event with the ENTIRE $50 going to cash prizes for the winners! A great reason to keep in the Top 10 at your Venue!
- Top ranked players in each tournament will take home cash prizes (based on the buy-in amount and number of players entered in that Tournament) as well as a WAPL Pro League Tournament Winner's Prize going to the winner on the night!
- The overall WAPL Pro League Season Winner (the player who tops the Pro League Ladder at the end of the 15 weeks) will be heralded as the WAPL Pro League Season Winner, and will be awarded a $3000 prize and FREE entry into the WAPL Season Grand Final, for the chance to become the Western Australian Poker League Pro League Season Champion, winning a huge value prize and Series Championship Trophy! 2nd to 5th place players overall for the Season win $2000, $1000, $600 and $400 respectively.
- The Top 10 ranked WA Poker League Pro League Ladder members will have their $200 buy-in paid for into the WAPL Grand Final, for their chance to become the Western Australian Poker League Pro League Season Champion! This Grand Final is a Qualification event, meaning that the highest ranking Pro League Players will have the first option to enter and contest with the Pro League Season Winner for the Grand Final Prize and Champion Title!
- Additionally, Pro League Players may also select their favourite Venue to play for in the Grand Final, for the chance to take out the WAPL Top Club Trophy if the Club's top 3 players' combined Grand Final point scores beat all the other Clubs! So as well as playing individually, those players will be playing for their Club's reputation and the Club Trophy, too!
