WA Poker League Crowns first King!
Another season over, another record smashed by WA Poker League, and another awesome Grand Final show which saw many WAPL members walk away with big cash and other prizes! None happier than Peter Salamon, mind you, who braved and beat the huge field of 246 starters in the Pro League final to take top spot, netting him over a staggering $21,000, the WA Poker League Grand Champion Medallion valued at over $5000, and the Grand Champion Trophy!
Peter Salamon won over $21,000 and the Grand Champion Medallion worth over $5000 to take out the biggest poker tournament in WA History!!!
The Final Table consisted of Eddie McBraida (8th), Jeevan Krishnan (7th), Tristan Duthie (6th), Barry Price (5th), Casey Haw (4th), Marty Hubon (3rd), with Kevin Johnson (2nd) going into Heads Up Battle with Peter at the end!
Heads up was amazing, seeing huge chip stacks sway back and forth between Kevin and Peter with some big hands, until Peter finally emerged triumphant!

The Free League Grand Final went very well, also! Finally emerging victorious was Lindsay Kent, congratulations Lindsay! He took the Free League Trophy for his efforts, as well as all the fame!

Photos from the event will be posted as soon as we can! If you have any great shots from the finals that you'd like to share, please E-Mail them to info@wapokerleague.com.au, we'd love to see them!
Finally, we must put out a huge thankyou to our Staff, who I'm sure everyone will agree did an amazing job on the day! To our Venues for their support throughout the Season, and to of course our wonderful players, who with their support throughout each season allows us to continue to be the biggest, best, and most well regarded Poker League in Western Australia!
We look forward to seeing everyone back for Season 3, in what will no doubt be another fiercely competed Season in WA Poker League! The official Season kicks off January 15th, but keep an eye on our upcoming events for some of our Venues who will be continuing to host Tournaments pre-season!
Thanks again, and from WA Poker League, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe holiday!
