WAPL Season 4 - More improvements!
As most of you are aware, we at WA Poker League are constantly looking for ways to improve our members' poker experience, by reviewing and adjusting things to make our service to you even better!
As many of you will have noticed, we had a trial period of new blind levels and timing, and have been asking you about some of our ideas with regards to grand final qualifications, etc!
Here's the official changes for Season 4! We're sure you'll like them as much as we do.
- Blind round times have been lengthened for the 4 rounds before the first break! They will now be 15 minute blinds till the first break, then 12 minutes thereafter. Should a tournament be close to maximum time, as always the Tournament Director may lower times in order to bring the tournament in on time.
- Blind round increase change! The 400/800 and 4000/8000 blind rounds have been moved down to 300/600 and 3000/6000. This will definitely lessen the steepness of the blind curve early in the game, and give everyone just that little bit more time to pick their hands to play.
- Grand Final Qualifications - Following some feedback and our own thoughts on the Qualifications to the Grand Finals, the following changes have been made for Season 4. They have also been detailed in the Finals page since the start of season. For players who qualify in the top 240 Pro or 80 Free Leagues, they still get their seat and automatic qualification. IF you don't qualify yet want to show up as a reserve to take any spots not taken by qualifiers, you must have played at least 10 games in that league during the season to be eligible to enter. This way we keep the Pro League Prizes within those players who are legitimately contributing towards the season and prizes, and it will continue to make our Pro League an awesome league to be a regular part of!
If you have any questions regarding any of these changes, please feel free to E-Mail us at info@wapokerleague.com.au
Thanks, and keep having an awesome Season 4!
