Wednesday, WAPL's first 4 Tournament night!
And what a huge night it was! With record numbers again for the 4th consecutive week running at The Boat, and a huge first crowd at The Rivervale, what more could we ask for?
We saw The Rivervale Pro League kick off with a bang, having a huge 57 players on their first night! Next week we will have double the capacity (10 tables, 80 players starting) and no doubt a bigger crowd! In a night that paid out Top 4, we saw our current Pro League Leader Ryan Bochorsky win his very first Pro League Tournament, taking home $427.50 and giving himself a nice lead on the League Table. Well done Ryan! Ryan was followed shortly behind by Adam Rutherford with $213.75, Daniel Chan Ee with $128.25, and David Tracey with $85.50! Congratulations guys!
The Boat grew to new heights, 52 players now! George Mylonas took out the night with a big 1024 point win, along with his Free League Trophy! Well done George! 2nd and 3rd places were taken by Dean Fegredo and Robyn Ivankovich.
Claremont Football Club was pretty stable around their 2 table level, and saw David Galbraith taking out the win with 320 points! Barry Ward was 2nd, with Kai-Paul Kench in 3rd! Nice work!
Beeches saw Lillian Te Tana coming 1st with 580 Free League points, in a great Tournament, with Sam Sammut and Paul Nielsen coming 2nd and 3rd respectively!
All in all, a very big and very good Wednesday for our WAPL Members!
