PoCA Donates $10,000 to Swan City Youth Service
The official opening of the Swan City Youth Service's entertainment refit was held on the 2nd July, much to the delight of the many people whose lives will be enhanced by the changes!
SCYS, which has been operating for over 30 years, applied for part of the $65,000 in PoCA Donations made before the end of financial year, with their project being a much needed facelift for their entertainment room.
Previously inhabited by an old analogue television caged into the corner of the room, and some less than comfy sofas, the all new entertainment room now boasts an Xbox, Playstation 3, both with big wall mounted LCD tvs, a projector and screen for television, 2 new sofas, in addition to some great table games like Foosball, Pool, Table Tennis, and Air Hockey.
Not only this, but the room now boasts a lot of smiles from kids who need the support.
Thanks to all our members who contribute so generously to PoCA through playing Pro League and the Cash Raffle.
Here's some photos taken on the day, where PoCA Chairman and Board Member Kelvin Davies and Michelle Duryea attended the grand opening to officially cut the ribbon and allow entry to the room!
