Please be aware that if you participate in any Poker Tournament in Western Australia, where you are playing for the chance to win any prize(s) of monetary value either in that Tournament or Tournament(s) qualified for during that Tournament, that the event must be legally licensed under WA State Gaming Law.

Should you be in a position where you are at a Poker Tournament where there is a prize or progression to a Tournament with a prize of monetary value, we strongly recommend you request to view the Permit for a Gaming Function for the event.

This Permit is issued by the Department of Racing, Gaming, and Liquor, and is the ONLY legal way to conduct a Poker Tournament in Western Australia which leads to a prize worth monetary value.

We would not like to see our loyal members caught up in any legal ramifications resulting from illegally operated Poker Tournaments.

Every Western Australian Poker League operated event is conducted within the Western Australian State Gaming Laws, and we are very proud to bring you the best standard of Poker in our great state.
